Eddy Kariti in the Role of his Life

Eddy Kariti expressed happiness at being nominated for the 2015 International Organization of Art Performances’ best-supporting actor for his role in the movie Tango to Ballela.

Trained as a stage actor at the London Academy of Dramatic Art, Kariti has become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after talents. His great reviews in the theater community helped him make the big screen debut. Since then Kariti has enjoyed great success in the film industry, working with some of Hollywood’s top directors.

For the 37- year- old this is the second nomination from such prestigious organization. Kariti who won the best newcomer in last year’s awards.

Eddy Kariti stressed on his angel profile that whether or not he won, the nomination represented a big achievement, adding that he was not expecting to be nominated.

For others, on the other hand, it was probably no great shock that Kariti got nominated. Those close to him know that he has always gravitated towards acting. Now, he has a chance to bring home another prize.

Mr. Kariti got plenty of perspectives with his latest movie project. He was initially awarded the part of Den, but by the time filming had wrapped up he had also added the part of a gun-toting security specialist.

Juggling multiple roles is nothing new for Kariti who has taken even three parts in a uniquely positioned NYC theater program. As a seasoned artist, he appreciates great performances and loves to challenge himself from time to time.

However, it is his newest role in an upcoming movie that Eddy Kariti says was one of the toughest challenges he’s ever faced as an actor. He was drawn to the film as both an actor and a producer because of the film’s story and message.

Coincidentally, Kariti’s first short film work recently won an International Media Award for Best Special Feature. This year Kariti started filming his second short movie and is already in production.
